Lightweightz (2012-2013)
Hi everyone,
This was my flagship title, and the impetus behind the creation of R-Squared Comicz. I was inspired by a comic I enjoyed reading, The 99, which explores the lives of various young people throughout the world who receive various abilities Muslims attribute to Allah. I wanted to do something similar in a Christian context, exploring what it would mean for a group of teens to develop abilities that in some way relate to the gifts and different manifestations of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:7). The twist is that each of the abilities are geared toward helping the teens relate to and understand others better.
I was fortunate, with the help from Kickstarter backers, to introduce the eight teens through two anthologies. The anthologies are fairly short, but the pdfs also include additional artwork. Both are below and can be downloaded for free.
R-Squared Comicz is no longer active, so I have made the comics I used to sell available for free. Maybe I will pick things back up in the future. We’ll see. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so below.
