How Superheroes Model Community (2016) by Nathan Miczo

When

I read this a few years ago.

Why

I think I came across this book as I was searching for information on another book. The title seemed interesting given my interests in moral development, and I am glad I took a chance on it.

How

In many ways, this book, along with Neal Curtis’ Sovereignty and Superheroes, has influenced my thinking regarding moral development and superheroes from a secular perspective, as Adam Barkman’s Imitating the Saints has from a religious perspective. It identifies many aspects of popular superheroes and their missions that jive well with how I think about them.
